This is a strange one today @tmcewan tought me the first few stages of leather decoration… Take some of @jhewitsons natural goat (or catch your own) and cover it with paste. Wait a week for it to dry out and then crack it over the edge of the bench… Choose a dye, this application should only dye the leather where the paste has cracked… use other colours… soak off the paste, wash the leather and let it dry…. Next Wednesday will be the second day when I do the background dyeing! At least I’ve found a use for the 20 volume Complete Oxford English dictionary, the complete works of Dickens, the complete history of England, the Doomsday Book, 1st Edition of the Encyclopaedia Britanica, the Robert Burns catalogue and the Waverly novels of Sir Walter Scott and other miscellanea (e.g. stuff with nice edges)! “Commentaries on the Epistle of Paul the Apostle to the Hebrews” by Jean Calvin (1509-1564) – Publication date 1853. Well, he seems to ignore the question about authorship as you, dear reader, are as likely to have written the epistle as St Paul, ok, not as likely, but you get my point. Anyway, revitalised buy some wonderful papers from @thewhimsicalmarbler and some remarkable goat! Finding music was much easier than I thought! Addendum (again) – I am so sorry to @jemmalewismarbling and @thewhimsicalmarbler – I got it wrong again!
